Algebra App Reviews

I thought I was going to get some introductory algebra lessons but there were only four very basic demos, all related to calculating slope of a line. All lessons are charged. The ones I looked at were 5 dollars. Ill give the app 3 stars, even though it has a misleading description, only because the app is free. The demo videos were well done. If you dont mind spending money on each lesson, the app may help you.

It seems good but you can get the info for free at Khan Academy!

I have been pondering over some of these concepts for like 3 years! Now just through the demo video I get them! U shouldnt make the lessons cost so much though-this is meant to be a free app!

It was alright, if you know Algebra, this is a good thing to help you review, but the problems were pretty basic and the teachers sounded like robots, if youre looking for Algebra and more, try out the KhanAcademy app, it has Algebra, Pre-Algebra, Linear Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus and Physics and Chemistry and Biology and Astronomy, and a whole ton of other subjects. And its free!

I paid $50 and have to use a pen and paper, there is no scratch pad built into the app; bring your own graphing calculator too as this app doesnt provide that either. A weak 3 stars.

Simple and clear

The only thing standing btw me and my BS degree is ...MATH! Sadly, I have zero background in math beyond addition/subtraction/multiplication (went to Catholic school back when the entire focus seemed to be on English, Latin (4 yrs), and catechism! YIKES! So pleased to have finally found a way to LEARN, really LEARN math! Work at your own pace, be able to go back and review and best of all ... CLEAR, CONCISE PRESENTATION! And, to top it all off, I had an issue with the app, went to the online chat for Your Teacher and a gentleman immediately helped me through the problem. Needed to work on a further resolution the next evening, chatted w/ the same man and got a final fix on the issue. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER (STUDENT!) SERVICE! Its been a while since I studied Algebra in college. This app has amazingly clear instruction for those wishing to learn algebra or, like me, to brush up on the subject.

Its helpful only if you buy the version

Was a little skeptical at first as the UI isnt amazing - but actually a really great app. Very clear and helpful instruction. With a cleaner UI would be one of the very top math apps available. -- Update - the more I use this app the better it gets. Super, super clear teaching. Well worth every penny.

I am very much enjoying this App. Using it to study for my GED its helping so much. The one on one Teacher Video is Excellent.

Great app, Im refreshing up on math that I havent used in 20 years. Its very helpful in explaining how to solve problems that I have long forgotten.

It could be a great app but every time I try to download a video it runs out of time and you can not see the video. Want my money back if it could be possible. Thank you

Easy to understand. What I like is that you can take a quizzes, with hints included.

I was always Intimidated by algebra but in just a few days this app has shown me how easy it can be with the proper instruction. Helpful tips, examples, detailed explanations and tests that you can reset to load different problems at your hearts desire. Its everything I wished or and more.

Is very useful, But is not capable for the iPhone 5 screen display.... But besides that Im likening Algebra now

Worth every penny and more! The tutoring is very understandable and many practice problems to work. We plan on purchasing the online course and app for Algebra 2. If you are struggling this app is you answer.

For the very rusty, its a great refresher.
